What is Early Education Entitlement?
Early Education Entitlement is effectively free childcare for 3 and 4 year olds funded by the government.
All children are entitled to this free early education entitlement starting from the term after their third birthday for up to 570 hours per year. You may have heard the entitlement referred to as ’15 hours per week’. This is because in school based nursery settings, the entitlement is given as 15 hours for the 38 school weeks each year.
For more detailed information about what you may be entitled to, please download our Early Education Funding Information Leaflet here. You can also find out how many hours you may be entitled to at your specific Centre by choosing your Centre and downloading the relevant document below:

Parents whose children attend for one day or less will not be eligible to the maximum funding allowance of 570 hours per year as you cannot claim more than your attended hours. However, should you wish to take advantage of the extra hours, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further information.
