Forest School at Kids Allowed

Every mum and dad knows that children love to explore the great outdoors so we’re excited to let you know that we’ll be offering our Preschool children the chance to do just that!

Our Christie Fields and Cheadle Royal Centres have teamed up with a local Forest School, Pars Wood Rural Studies Centre, which is managed by two experienced Level 3 Forest School Practitioners, Leonie Morris and Felicity Stout. Both practitioners are CRB checked and trained in Outdoor First Aid and will be giving your child the opportunity to go on 6 sessions to have fun learning about nature.

The Forest School encourages children to play team games, collect natural materials and learn about shelter building and fire as well as teaching basic woodland skills. This is a fantastic way to improve your child’s confidence and physical development.

The Forest School sessions will take place in the woodland at Parrs Wood Environmental Centre, next to Parrs Wood School, East Didsbury and Kids Allowed will take and care for your children (they must be attending on the Friday to go).

We’ll be starting on Friday 15th June, running for 6 consecutive weeks, with the final session on Friday July 20th. Each session will last for 1.5 hours from 10am-11.30am.

The cost in addition to your session for attendance to the Forest School is £60 (£10 per session) and will be added to your monthly invoice as a single payment of £60. This is the exact cost to us from the Forest School provider.

If you’d like to apply for a place or see more information, please email us with your child's name and Centre. You will need to fill in a Consent Form provided by the Forest School which we will email you when we send a confirmation of your place. You can also view this here.

We do only have 15 places available and expect demand to be high so we’d encourage you to get in touch sooner rather than if you’d like to sign up.

If this is successful at Christie Fields and Cheadle Royal, we will be looking to organise similar Forest School sessions at our Knutsford and Macclesfield Centres.
